Stewardship Wheel
The Stewardship Wheel is a tool that can be used to identify your stewardship style—the unique palette of mental, emotional, and practical strengths you use to care for the world around you.
It’s a service framework that bridges one’s social engagement preferences with tangible behaviors, choices, and expressions that make community and climate action come to life.
How do I use it?
The words in the inner ring of the wheel represent the eight core stewardship styles (linked below). The words in the outer ring suggest some behaviors, choices, and expressions that can bring each style to life.
Take a look at the words on the wheel—both the inner and outer rings.
If any of the eight core stewardship styles jump out at you, start there. Visit its detail page (linked above) and see if what’s written feels familiar, comfortable, or true to you.
If nothing jumps out right away, visit our Resources page for links to additional information that might help.
Things to think about:
The stewardship wheel is a tool. You might connect deeply with one style, you might resonate with several, and you might not see yourself in any. That’s okay! You know yourself best. The wheel is simply a guidepost on your route toward community and climate action… here to help you trust your strengths, honor your intuition, and begin from the place where you already shine.
No one works in isolation. A visionary sparks an idea, an architect designs the system, a driver gets it moving, and a stabilizer keeps it alive over time. Your stewardship style is most powerful when combined with others.
